A Nepali delegation has arrived in Washington, DC, to attend the US Investment Summit. US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Bethany Morrison, alongside officials from the Departments of State and Commerce, welcomed the group of Nepali industrialists and business leaders to discuss expanding investment opportunities.

This partnership reflects our shared commitment to economic growth and prosperity," said the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs (SCA).
Among the businessmen who went to the US for the Investment Summit, many are information technology and Nepal America Chamber of Commerce in Nepal (AmCham Nepal) officials and Executive Director Amir Raj Thapa are participating. AmCham, chaired by Kailash Bijay Anand, has young industrialists including Akash Golchha and Samrath Moga.
This campaign, launched with the hashtag ‘SelectUSA’, is a large-scale program to be organized to attract investment to the US.

Before participating in the summit, US officials held discussions at the Nepali Embassy in Washington, DC. At the embassy event, the US representative argued that partnering with Nepali companies would strengthen trade relations between the two countries and contribute to Nepal's economic growth.
Stating that the US is the world's best destination for investment, they urged Nepali investors to benefit from state-of-the-art infrastructure and new opportunities. According to the Nepali embassy, the discussion is expected to take trade relations between the two countries to new heights and open more doors for bilateral investment in the coming days.
More than 2,700 business investors and industry and private sector experts from 100 countries are participating in this year's Select USA Investment Summit. The conference, which began on Sunday, May 3, will run until May 6.
