Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Sasmit Pokharel, has shared that student organizations were revoked in accordance with their commitment paper.

Talking to media persons at Singha Durbar today, also the Spokesperson of the government, Pokharel clarified that further discussion on the issue was not necessary as the people have already approved the commitment paper.

He mentioned that they have been receiving complaints that schools have charged extra admission or annual fee rather than determined criteria, adding discussion was held with office-bearers of Municipal Association, Rural Municipality Federation and representatives of Kathmandu Valley Mayors Forum on this issue.

"We are ready to support if any support of the federal government is needed for the implementation of determined criteria and rules. But it is mainly the responsibility of the local level. A regulatory body should regulate from its side," he underlined.
