Armed Police seize 2m Indian cash as biker abandons at Nepal-India border

Police have recovered a large amount of Indian currencies from Morang district.

Armed Police Force has recovered 2 million Indian bank notes from the border area at Gharuchowk in Ratuwamai Municipality-2.

Armed Police Force has said that 2 million Indian rupees were recovered from the border area on Sunday night.

Forty bundles of Indian rupees of 500 denomination were recovered by a team of Border Security Force, Bardanga and BOP Doria.

The police said that the money was found during security check on motorcyclists coming to Nepal from India.

According to the police, the person riding the motorcycle threw the bag he was carrying and fled when the police approached him for security check. The identity of the young man has not been revealed.

The recovered money is being handed over to the concerned agency for necessary action, DSP Shailendra Thapa said.
