Nepal has been invited to bowl first after losing the toss against Scotland in the one-day cricket match being played under the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2.

In the match underway since 9:30 am at the TU International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, captain Rohit Paudel leads the same side that defeated the USA by 9 wickets on Saturday. Other members of the team include Kushal Bhurtel, Aasif Sheikh, Rohit Paudel, Dipendra Singh Airee, Ishan Pandey, Gulshan Jha, Sompal Kami, Nandan Yadav, Sandeep Lamichhane and Lalit Rajbanshi.

Richie Berrington leads the Scottish team including Finlay McCreath, Michael English, Brandon McMullen, Matthew Cross, Michael Leask, Ollie Jones, Mark Watt, Oliver Davidson, Brad Currie and George Munsey.

After an impressive win against United States of America by 9 wickets on Saturday, Nepal looks to continue the momentum in a bid to retain its ODI status and also qualify for the upcoming ODI World Cup.

In the current series involving hosts Nepal, Scotland and the USA, Scotland have won both their matches against the two sides. Nepal was defeated by Scotland by just 2 runs in a rain-affected match, decided on the DLS method.

Nepal currently languishes in the 7th position among eight countries in the WCL 2 points table. Scotland is in the first position while USA stands in the second position.
