The "Nepal Tech Roadshow USA 2026," recently held in Dallas, Texas, has successfully boosted international interest in Nepal’s rapidly growing tech industry and its global competitiveness. Jointly organized by the Nepal Association for Software and IT Services Companies (NAS-IT) and the Nepalese American Chamber of Commerce (NACOC), the event aimed to position Nepal as an emerging global technology destination.
The roadshow brought together tech entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, and diaspora professionals from both Nepal and the United States. Key industry leaders—including NAS-IT Founder President Richan Shrestha, Leapfrog Founder Himal Karmacharya, and Hamro Patro Founder Shankar Uprety—shared insights on Nepal's digital transformation. Discussions highlighted the country's expanding startup ecosystem, skilled engineering workforce, and massive IT export potential, surprising many diaspora members with the scale of recent progress.
Currently, Nepal boasts over 2,000 tech companies, a talent pool of more than 100,000 tech professionals, and nearly US $1 billion in annual IT exports. Building on the success of previous events like the "Nepal Tech Roadshow Sydney 2025" and "Nepal Tech Connect San Francisco," this USA edition has further solidified Nepal’s international tech presence, opening new avenues for investment, outsourcing partnerships, and diaspora engagement.
Organized in chief collaboration with Dexperts Inc., the event also saw partnership from organizations like Focus Health, Fusemachines, and Global IME Bank. Through these promotional initiatives, NAS-IT—Nepal's leading non-profit apex body for the software and IT sector—continues its mission of policy advocacy, workforce development, and global market expansion to transform Nepal into a world-class technology hub.
