Nepal clinches 7-wicket win over Malaysia in T20I Series

Nepal has defeated Malaysia by 7 wickets in the 2nd match of the Nepal Women in Malaysia T20I Series played in Malaysia on Friday.

Nepal reached the target of 83 runs in 16 overs losing only 3 wickets. For Nepal's victory, Samjhana Khadka scored the highest 39 runs including 3 fours off 37 deliveries followed by Sony Pakhrin with 12 runs while Kabita Kunwar contributed 19 runs the other batters could not achieve significant runs.

In reply, Nur Dania Syuhada, Aisya Eleesa and Ainna Hamizah Hashim claimed 1 wicket each for Malaysia.

Earlier, electing to bat first after winning the toss, Malaysia scored 82 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the allotted 20 overs in the match held at the Bayuemas Oval cricket ground in Malaysia.

Ainna Hamizah contributed the most runs for Malaysia with 17 runs. She scored 17 runs in 30 balls with the help of one four. Similarly, Dhanusri Muhunan added 15 runs while Arianna Natsya made 13 runs. Apart from that, other Malaysian players could not make double-digit runs.

Toward bowling, Nepal's Kabita Kunwar, Rubina KC and Riya Sharma took two wickets each while Puja Mahato and Sita Rana Magar took one wicket each.
