Rain coupled with thunderstorms likely in some places today

Nepal is under the influence of Westerly winds and local winds, along with a low-pressure area located near the eastern part.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, generally cloudy conditions are likely in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and the remaining hilly and Himalayan regions, while the Tarai region is likely to experience partly cloudy conditions.

There is a possibility of rainfall accompanied by thunder at a few places of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and at one or two places of the Himalayan and hilly regions of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces including Madhesh Province.

Likewise, the hotter day conditions are likely in the Terai region of Sudurpashchim and Lumbini provinces today.

According to the Division, the weather across the country is likely to remain cloudy. Generally cloudy conditions are likely in some places of Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini Provinces and at a few places of Koshi, Madhesh, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, while the Tarai region is likely to experience partly cloudy conditions with a possibility of moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder at a few places tonight.
