Lumbini All Stars won the title of Nepal T20 League organized for the first time in Nepal.
In the final match held at TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Wednesday, Lumbini lifted the trophy of the first edition of Nepal T20 League by beating Biratnagar Super Kings by 24 runs.
With the win, Lumbini will get a purse of Rs 5.5 million along with the trophy. Similarly, the first-runner up Biratnagar will receive Rs 3 million as a cash prize.
Biratnagar were restricted to 109 runs while they were chasing a 134-run target in the allotted 20 overs losing eight wickets.
Opener Arjun Saud made the highest 34 runs including one four and two sixes off 40 deliveries. Prithu Baskota made 31 runs, Hussain Talat contributed 13 runs while the other batsmen could not reach the double-digit runs.
To restrict the opponent Lumbini’s Harmeet Singh and Sagar Dhakal took two wickets while Bipul Sharma and Kishore Mahato claimed one wicket each.

Earlier, electing to bat first after winning the toss, Lumbini notched up 133 runs losing all wickets in 19.2 overs in the final today.
Lahiru Milantha topped the score with 41 runs followed by Harmeet Singh with 30 runs while Dipendra Singh Airee and Ishan Pandey contributed 20 and 18 runs, respectively.
In reply, Biratnagar’s Nandan Yadav and Raj Nannan took two wickets each wile Hussain Talat, Keon Joseph and Rohit Paudel claimed one wicket each.
Lumbini entered the final by defeating Janakpur Royals in the qualifiers by six runs. They won eight and lost two matches in the league stage.
Similarly, Biratnagar had defeated Kathmandu Kings by a whopping 99 runs to book a berth in the second qualifiers.
Biratnagar defeated Janakpur in the second qualifiers by 39 runs to enter the final.
