The ruling parties of both the neighboring countries -- China and India -- have extended messages of congratulations to the first general convention of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP). The Communist Party of China (CPC) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have sent their best wishes, congratulating RSP.
Their letters were read out by the party's International Relations Department Head Shisir Khanal, who is also the Foreign Minister of Nepal, at the inaugural session of the general convention of the party that began on Sunday.
The CPC addressed the entire party and extended its best wishes. BJP, on the other hand, sent a message of congratulations to its President Rabi Lamichhane.
Similarly, the International Conference of Asian Political Parties has also sent a message of congratulations to RSP on the occasion of its general convention that kicked off in Chitwan today.
Leaders from various political parties, cadres, general convention representatives are attending the event. The genereal convention will last till June 23.
