Leela Giri sworn in as Lumbini Province CM

Lumbini Province Chief Amik Sherchan administering oath of office and secrecy to newly appointed Chief Minister Leela Giri.

Chief Minister of Lumbini Pradesh Leela Giri has taken the oath of office and secrecy amidst a ceremony organized at the provincial capital in Deukhuri.

Province Chief Amik Sherchan administered the oath of office and secrecy to Chief Minister Giri.

UML parliamentary party leader Giri had been appointed as the Chief Minister of the Lumbini Province in accordance with Article 168 (2) of the constitution of Nepal.

Two other lawmakers –Chetnarayan Acharya of UML and Krishna KC of Maoist Center alongside Giri were sworn in as ministers. However, their ministerial portfolios are yet to be finalized.
