Maoist Center's Dhital elected Gandaki Province speaker

Krishna Dhital of CPN (Maoist Center) has been elected as the speaker of Gandaki Province Assembly.

Dhital was proposed by Phanindra Devkota and supported by Roshan Bahadur Gahathapa on behalf of ruling alliance.

Dhital managed to secure 32 votes out of 60 members in the province assembly.

As per agreement, UML parliamentary party leader Khagraj Adhikari has become Chief Minister and even secured the vote of confidence.

Among 60 members in Province Assembly, Nepali Congress has 27, CPN UML 22, Maoist Centre eight, RPP two and independent one.
