District Court Tanahun has given a clean chit to rape-accused Nepali actor Paul Shah on Tuesday.

Hearing the case, a single bench of District Judge Komal Prasad Acharya acquitted Shah saying that there are no sufficient evidence to constitute him as a rapist.

Min Bahadur Kunwar, the registrar of the District Court Tanahu, said the court gave a clean chit to Shah.

“Shah has received a clean chit from this court. The government can move the High Court if it does not concur with the district court’s verdict,” Kunwar told Nepalkhabar.

This case had been postponed time and again despite being scheduled for hearings.

Shah had been accused of raping a minor.
