Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has announced that he will donate his entire body after his death.
Prime Minister Dahal made such an announcement to this effect, in course of addressing a program organized at Nepal Academy Hall in the capital on the occasion of the successful completion of kidney transplant of 1000 people.
“Earlier, the dialysis service was not accessible to common people. Low-income people suffering from kidney ailments could not afford it. I will donate all my body organs after my death,” said Prime Minister Prachanda.
Shahid Dharmabhakta National Transplat Center had started dialysis service free of cost since March 29, 2013. Not only kidney, but it also transplants a liver.
Around 300 kidneys are transplanted annually in Nepal.
