Nepali Congress has decided to nominate lawmaker Mukta Kumari Yadav for the post of deputy speaker.
A work execution committee meeting of the NC parliamentary party chaired by President Sher Bahadur Deuba in Dhumbarai this morning decided to nominate Yadav for the post.
Proportional Member of Parliament (MP) Yadav has been picked as the candidate for the deputy speaker, said an NC leader privy to the meeting.
However, Ramesh Jung Rayamajhi, a parliamentary party leader of the National Assembly, has said that the decision has not yet been taken on it.
“We will take a final decision on it after 2 pm,” Rayamajhi told Nepalkhabar, “The decision has not yet been made.”
