A meeting of the non-establishment faction of the Nepali Congress led by Shekhar Koirala is taking place at Anupam Foodland in Gaushala.
Participated by office-bearers of the party, central members, lawmakers and provincial presidents, the meeting is dwelling on the latest political developments, sources have said.
With the elections of the speaker and deputy speaker over, the attention of the political parties, now, has been drawn towards the election of the president.
Top leaders including the Prime Minister have been saying that the president should be elected through national consensus.
The NC has not made public its official decision on this issue.
