Home Minister Lamichhane's citizenship case hearing today

 |  Kathmandu

Today is the next day of hearings in the citizenship case involving Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane (Friday).

Following the arguments of the petitioner and the respondent government, the matter was adjourned last Wednesday.

The case was put on hold for today because Public Prosecutor's Office attorneys and Home Minister Lamichhane did not complete their arguments on January 11.

Today there will be further discussion.

Is Home Minister Lamichhane a Nepali citizen? On Friday, the Supreme Court is most likely to provide its response to this query.

The Constitutional Court will choose the date of the verdict if there isn't one on Friday as well.
