The Standing Committee meeting of the Maoist Center started on Thursday at the party's central office (Perisdanda) and will continue today as well at 11 am.
Today's meeting is said to discuss current issues including party unity and organization expansion.
On the first day of Thursday's meeting, the party chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, who is also the Prime Minister, submitted a report on the current political situation.
He also gave a briefing on contemporary politics.
