Rabi Lamichhane has reached the District Administration Office (DAO) in Kathmandu today to get the citizenship certificate.
He is coordinating with the administration to get the citizenship certificate.
Lamichhane, who became a non-citizen after the Supreme Court's decision on Friday, has started preparations for regaining citizenship.
The district administration had inquired whether citizenship should be granted due to the order of the Supreme Court, additional legal opinions or other procedures required.
Rabi will have to submit the proof of renouncing American citizenship to the district administration office in Kathmandu.
After submitting those proofs, the district administration office will issue a new citizenship on his previous details.
Although he claimed to have already submitted the proof of relinquishment of US passport and citizenship to the Immigration Department, the Supreme Court did not recognize it.
He will have to complete the process at the district administration office to get citizenship.
