With the retrieval of the status of a Nepali citizen, Rabi Lamichhane, who lost all the posts including the Member of the Parliament, is set to be reappointed as the chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RS).

A central committee (CC) meeting of the RSP has been called today.

The meeting scheduled for today at the central party headquarters in Dhumbarahi will reappoint Lamichhane to the post of chairman, Vice Chairman Dol Prasad Aryal said.

“The CC meeting is taking place in a while,” Aryal told Nepalkhabar, “We will hold talks on the agendas including the chairman and take decisions.”

The Supreme Court on Friday stripped Lamichhane of the Member of Parliament on the ground of not following a due process of regaining the Nepali citizenship certificate.

He lost all his posts including Deputy Prime Minister, Home Minister and the chairman of RSP.
