A complaint has been filed against Rabi Lamichhane, chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, on charges of passport misuse.

A complaint was lodged at the District Police Range, Kathmandu on Tuesday demanding his immediate arrest and action.

Yubraj Paudel 'Safal' of Sindhuli filed a complaint against Lamichhane on Tuesday. Earlier, the case related to citizenship was also filed by Paudel in the Supreme Court.

The court ruled that Rabi's citizenship was illegal and the posts of parliamentarians and ministers were also revoked.

The Supreme Court ruled that he made a passport on the basis of citizenship as illegal and that he has a dual passport, and it has been demanded in the complaint that he be immediately arrested and investigated.

Rabi knowingly gave false information against the prevailing provisions of the Passport Act and obtained Nepali passport number 08834838 on June, 28, 2015.

Lamichhane has demanded that the case be prosecuted according to the law regarding the passport he received as a non-Nepali citizen.

SP Dinesh Raj Mainali, Spokesperson of Police Range, Kathmandu , has confirmed that the application has been received.
