PM advised not to decide on Home Ministry yet

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said he was advised from multiple quarters for not taking any decisions in regard with the Ministry of Home Affairs until the full text on the last Friday verdict from the Supreme Court was received.

Talking to media persons at the central office of CPN (Maoist Centre) at Paris Danda today, the party Chair and Prime Minister Dahal hinted that he would not be taking any decision regarding the Home Ministr  “We are in touch and our maximum efforts will be for keeping ruling partners engaged for cooperation,” he said. 

The then Home Minister and Chairman of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSS), Lamichhane was disqualified to be the member in the House of Representatives with the SC's January 27 decision to not validate his Nepali citizenship. Following the verdict, he resigned as the Home Minister and was stripped of the party chairmanship.  

Lamichhane however regained his party presidency after acquiring again the Nepali citizenship on Sunday. It is said he is lobbying for his restoration as the DPM.  

Likewise, a meeting of the party office bearers today discussed the organizational issues.  During the meeting, the idea was floated for not taking any decisions regarding the Home Ministry until the release of the full text of Court verdict.
