Maoist Center to hold standing committee meet today

The Standing Committee of the ruling party CPN (Maoist Center) is holding a meeting today.

The meeting scheduled for Wednesday was postponed for today.

According to the spokesperson of the Maoist Center, Krishna Bahadur Mahara, a standing committee meeting has been scheduled for 4 pm.

The latest political developments in the country, Ministry of Home Affairs, election of the National Assembly vice president and presidential election are going to be discussed during standing committee meet.

Prime Minister and Party Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal is under pressure to make Rabi Lamichhane, Presidentof the Rasriya Swatantra Party (RSP), the Home Minister again.

However, the top leaders of Maoists, including the Prime Minister, are of the opinion that Lamichhane cannot be given the ministry without the full text of the Supreme Court.

Lamichhane has warned that he will leave the power coalition if he is not given the ministry.
