The Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to nominate a candidate for the post of Vice President of the National Assembly.
The Parliamentary Party Working Committee meeting held at President Sher Bahadur Deuba's residence Dhumbarahi decided to file a candicay for the post.
After the meeting, the chief whip of NC, Ramesh Lekhak, informed that he has decided to run for the post of vice president of the National Assembly.
He said that he decided to proceed after discussing with other parties.
Lekhak informed that it was decided to call a parliamentary party (PP) meeting on February 9.
The election for the National Assembly Vice President is being held on February 6.
The tenure of the then Vice President Sasikala Dahal ended on March 2, 2022.
