Chief Minister of Madhesh Province Saroj Kumar Yadav has expanded his cabinet on Friday.
Chief Minister Yadav, who had formed a three-member cabinet on January 13, expanded his cabinet after three weeks by inducting six ministers and three state ministers. With the appointment of nine ministers, the cabinet has now become a 13-member cabinet.
The newly appointed ministers took the oath of office and secrecy today itself.
Surita Kumari Sah has been appointed as the Minister for Social Development, Mahesh Yadav is given the responsibility of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Commerce while Shatrughan Singh has been appointed as the Minister for Home Affairs and Communications.
Similarly, Mohammed Jayed Alam has been appointed as the Minister for Women, Children, Youth and Sports while Singhasan Sah Kalwar will look after the Ministry of Water Supply and Energy.
Likewise, Raj Kumar Lekhi has been appointed as the Ministry of Law, Justice and Province Assembly Affairs.
Similarly, Sheikh Abul Kamal Azad has been appointed as the Minister of State for Social Development, Keshav Raya as the Minister of State for Home Affairs and Communications and Sanjaya Kumar Yadav as Minister of State for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives.
Ruling coalition CPN (Maoist Center) has not sent its minister to the cabinet.
