Maoist Center to seek national consensus on prez election

The CPN-Maoist Center has decided to seek a national consensus for the presidential election and in otherwise situation, it has decided to cooperate with those who have similar ideas, perspectives and objectives.

The Maoist Center's Standing Committee meeting held today at the party office Parisdada decided to this effect.

Spokesperson Krishna Bahadur Mahara informed that the meeting also decided to conduct a two-month campaign for strengthening and expanding the party organization.

Spokesperson Mahara said that all the leaders will go to field, hold meetings of all the committees, prepare reports and then the central committee will take necessary decisions in course of two months.

Devendra Paudel, Secretary of the Maoist Center, said the meeting is open to discussions with all parties to agree on the presidential and vice-presidential elections, and that the Maoist Center is of the opinion that everyone should move forward together.
