Nepal have reached the final of the SAAF U-20 Women’s Football Championship-2023 on Tuesday.
Nepal defeated India 3-1 in a match held at Bir Shrestha Shaheed Mustofa Stadium in the capital city Dhaka today.
For the win against the opponent, Anjali Chand scored a goal in the 48th minute, Priti Rai in the 69th minute and Amisha Karki made a goal in the 89th minute.
In reply, Apurna Narzari scored a goal in the 21st minute for India.
Similarly, Bangladesh are taking on Bhutan in the second match today. The winner will enter the final and lock horns with Nepal for the title of the SAAF U-20 Women’s Football Championship-2023.
Trailing with 0-1 in the first half, Nepal made a comeback in the second half and emerged the winner in today’s match.
In the first match, Nepal lost to Bangladesh 1-3 and routed Bhutan 4-0 in the second match of the tournament underway in Dhaka.
