Badal elected ANNFSU President, Rokaya Gen Secy

Samik Badal has been elected the central president of the All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU), a student wing of the CPN (UML).

In the voting that took place yesterday night as part of the 23rd National Convention held in Kathmandu starting on February 14, Badal was chosen as the president. He is the organization's outgoing general secretary as well.

After 7 years, and after the failed attempt to elect the leadership by agreement, voting was conducted electronically in this ANNFSU assembly.

A total of 1,517 votes were cast in the election.

Sangam Aryal and Naresh Rokaya have been elected to the positions of general secretary and treasurer, respectively.

The vice-presidential election was won by Govind Giri, Dharma Giri, Narayan Gharti, and Maryada Bista.

Sanjiv Dhital, Deepak Dhami, Dr. Sujan Kandaria, Prakash Paudel, Dipesh Prasain, Ashirwad Subedi, Anjana Sivakoti, Aarti Bhattarai, Binita Kafle have been elected secretaries.
