In pics: Over 4,000 sadhus bidden adieu

Over 4,000 sadhus, who came to Pashupatinath Temple on the occasion of Shivaratri, have been bidden adieu.  

Sadhus were bidden adieu by offering them Dakshina (cash), said Rewati Raman Adhikari, the spokesperson of the Pashupati Development Trust (PADT).

According to Adhikari, they were given away Rs 500 to maximum Rs 8,000 per head on the basis of seniority along with a garland of rudraksha.

They had come to Pashupatinath from various parts of Nepal and India.
