A magnitude-7.2 earthquake jolted Tajikistan at a depth of 10 kilometers on Thursday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
This morning at 5:37 local time, a 7.2-magnitude earthquake occurred, according to Reuters.
The shock of the earthquake was also felt in China, as the two countries share borders.
The epicenter of the earthquake was about 82 km from the nearest border with China and was felt most strongly in Kashgar and Artux in the western part of Xinjiang region.
According to CCTV, the average elevation within 5 km of the epicenter is 4,655 meters (15,300 ft).
There have been no reports of casualties or damages as of yet.
