Indigenous nationalities should not give up identity agenda: Veep Pun

Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun has said the indigenous nationalities should not give up the agenda of identity.

Unveiling a statue amidst a program organized by Nepal Magar Association here Saturday, Vice President Pun viewed continuous watch on government by the indigenous nationalities is imperative because there were still some issues to be established though some were incorporated in the constitution. He pledged to extend support from his side for the establishment of indigenous nationalities' identity.

According to him, an in-depth study is required on whether the Chhetris are indigenous.

Moreover, he warned if the unity among indigenous people is broken, the agenda of identity will fizzle out. He also made aware the Magar Association to realize the contribution of indigenous warriors.
