Police have tightened a security checking on the occasion of Holi festival in the Kathmandu Valley today.
Police tightened a grip on the traffic movement to make sure the travelers are not driving under the influence of alcohol.
Check-points have been placed at 68 different places and 19 mobile teams are conducting monitoring the situations in the Kathmandu Valley, said SP Abhi Narayan Kafle.
He said those who smear color and throw lolas (water-filled balloons) on the travellors against their will and drive vehicles under the influence of alcohol will be penalized, said SP Abhi Narayan Kafle of the Valley Traffic Police Office.
