A demonstration against the microfinance, which was earlier limited to the other parts of the country, has gradually surged into the Kathmandu Valley.
Thousands of demonstrators gathered at Maitighar Mandala on Tuesday and hit the streets sloganeering against the microfinances.
Participants from various districts arrived in the valley to take part in the demonstrations with placards, banners and Nepali flags calling for abolition of microfinances, terming them neo-feudalism.
Meanwhile, they have also demanded that the loan disbursed by the microfinances be waived without condition.
