Director Pratap Subba passes away

Writer and director Pratap Subba has passed away. He was 76. Subba died while undergoing treatment at Paramount Hospital in Siliguri, India.

Local singer Durga Kharel said director Subba passed away at 12 noon on Thursday.

Director Subba has many notable films under his name including 'Paralko Aago' based on the popular story by Guru Prasad Mainali and 'Masaal', 'Banchna Chahane Haru', 'Kahi Andhyaro Kahi Ujyalo' and others.

His drama 'Raatko Ek Prahar' had become very popular in both Nepal and India.

After leaving the work of Direction, Subba was involved in training through the Diamond Institute and Cine Universe. His last creation was the production of 'Deuta' based on the novel by Prakash Kovid. This tele-serial had been released on YouTube during the COVID-19 pandemic.
