Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to join the government by giving a vote of confidence to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.

A Central Work Execution Committee (CWEC) of the NC held at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor this morning took a decision to this effect.

CPN (UML) has pulled out of the government after the NC gave the vote of confidence to Prime Minister Prachanda on January 10.

Talking to Nepalkhabar following the meeting, Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat said the NC decided to join the government by giving a vote of confidence to Prachanda on Monday.

‘The NC’s CWEC meeting decided to give the vote of confidence to Prime Minister Prachanda. The lawmakers have been instructed accordingly,” said Mahat, “A decision has been taken to join the government.”

He further said that the ministerial portfolios will be finalized following a power sharing deal sealed among the ruling alliance parties.

Meanwhile, the meeting also decided to honor Nepali cricket team for reaching the ICC ODI Global Qualifier and newly elected Vice President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav.
