On his international debut, Joselu, a former striker for Newcastle and Stoke, scored twice in two minutes as Spain defeated Norway 3-nil in the Euro 2024 qualifying match.

At La Rosaleda Stadium in Malaga, Dani Olmo scored the game's first goal after converting Alejandro Balde's cut-back.

In his debut game as Spain manager, Joselu, 32, scored two goals in the final two minutes to secure the victory for Luis de la Fuente.

Spain and Scotland, who defeated Cyprus 3-0 on Saturday, are at the top of Group A.

Throughout his two seasons in Newcastle, Joselu of Espanyol struggled and only scored seven goals.

Since then, he has scored 49 goals in 139 games for Alaves and Espanyol, including 13 this season.

After Spain's elimination from the World Cup on penalties against Morocco in the round of 16, De la Fuente took over as manager in lieu of Luis Enrique.

Tuesday's match between Spain and Scotland will take place at Hampden Park.
