A program was held in Kathmandu earlier this week to promote the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
During the event, An Xiaoyu, a 20th CPC National Congress delegate, delivered his address virtually. He briefed the participants on the importance of CPC's 20th National Congress to the world. He also said that the CPC national convention charted a new course for China to build a socialist modernized country in an all-round way. The Chinese guest speaker also said that China's vision of community with a shared future for mankind will have profound significance on China-Nepal ties.
Xiaoyo also explained in detail about the characteristics of Chinese-form of modernization and its global significance. On the occasion, Nepal's Minister of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Reduction of Nepal, Sashi Shrestha spoke on Nepal-China ties. She said that Nepal hopes to learn from China's experience on economic development.

She expressed hope that the CPC's 20th National Congress would lead China towards a new journey of prosperity. She encouraged Nepali youths to have extensive exchanges with Chinese friends and learn from each other.

"We want to go for a comprehensive economic development so that we can have a prosperous society. Neighboring China's developmental experience will be a lesson to us," she said. The event was jointly organized by the Asia-Africa Center of China Central Radio and Television (CCTV) and the Nepal-China Youth Friendship Association.
