Foreign tourists of 35 different countries have received Bhaitika amidst a program in Pokhara today

Hotel Association Pokhara organized the 15th  Bhaitika Mahotsav on the occasion of Tihar festival 2079.

The foreigners, who currently are on a tour to Nepal, seemed happy to receive selrotis and Bhaitika on their foreheads and floral garlands on their necks in the Mahotsasv organized at Mum's Garden Resort in Lakeside.

Talking to journalists after the program, Laxman Subedi, the chairman of the Mahotasav said the Mahotsav has been successful to promote the tourism through cultures.

"The Mahotsav has been successful to promote tourism in Nepal through cultures," said  Subedi.

Meanwhile, he expressed the belief that the Mahotsav will help revive tourism in Nepal by promoting brotherhood among the Nepali people.

This kind of Mahotsav could not take place in the past two years due to COVID-19. The Nepal's torism sector was badly hit by the coronavirus pandemic.

According to the Association, the Mahotsav was held to attract both domestic and foreign tourists while protecting the culture of Tihar.
