National women's football team captain Angela Tumbapo Subba and badminton player Prince Dahal have been declared the best players in the 17th Nepal National and International Players Association NNIPA Sports Awards-2078.
In the prize distribution program organized by the Association on Monday in Kathmandu, various sportsmen including Angela and Prince were awarded.
In the same way, Karate's Chanchala Danuwar was awarded towards the category of talented sportsperson and Sadbhaav Acharya of golf was awarded towards the men's category.
Similarly, NNIPA also distributed awards in the categories of best para-athlete, sports personality and best sports journalist.
In the same award, the best athletes of 27 sports recognized by the Nepal Olympic Committee were honored with 10,000 rupees each based on the recommendation of the Association.
The best players received a prize of one hundred thousand rupees each.
National Sports Council member secretary Tanklal Ghising, officials of various associations gave awards to the winning players.
