Cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane has been honored by Internet Service Provider (ISP)company WorldLink Communications on Thursday.
Congratulating him for taking the fastest 100 wickets in ODIs, WorldLink honored Sandeep with a cash prize of Rs 100,000 for his brilliant performance.
Lamichhane, who is also a spinner of the Nepali national cricket team, made a rare world record by taking a wicket against Oman in the ACC Men’s Premier Cup.
After the match between Qatar and Nepal, Worldlink awarded him with the cash at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.
Sandeep has made a world record by taking 100 wickets in 42 matches.
Earlier, the record for fastest hundred wickets in ODIs was set by Afghanistan's Rashid Khan.
Rashid took 100 wickets in 44 matches.
Nepal entered into the semi-finals by defeating Qatar by 68 runs in the ACC Premier Cup cricket tournament held at TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur today.
