Buddha Air, a private sector air service provider, has introduced a new aircraft. The company brought the 15th ATR-72 airship on Friday.
According to Dipendra Kumar Karna, the information officer at Buddha Air, the new aircraft will start commercial flights within a month after completing the necessary paperwork.
A statement issued by the company mentioned that the 72-seater aircraft has been brought in in order to reduce the operation cost and the fare will automatically be cheaper.
With this, the number of ATR aircraft of Buddha Air has reached 15. Among them are 12 ATR-72 and three ATR-42 ships. The two Beechcraft previously owned by Buddha Air were sold to a Canadian company.
With the addition of new aircraft, Buddha Air plans to add one flight to Dhangadhi and Surkhet destinations, which currently have two daily flights.
In the same way, the company has made preparations to take off from Tumlingtar in Sankhuwasabha by ATR-72 aircraft. Buddha Air said that another new ship will be brought soon.
