Devotees have flocked to Buddhist pilgrimage sites across the country today on the occasion of the 2567th Buddha Jayanti.
Lumbini in Rupandehi, Swayambhu in Kathmandu, and other Buddhist religious sites have been chock-a-block with pilgrims since early morning.
Special pujas are performed at Bauddhanath and Swayambhunath in the Kathmandu Valley on the occasion.
The Astu Dhatu of Buddha is kept for homage in the Ananda Kuti Vihara on the Swayambhu premises.
