Netherlands clinch 5-wicket win against Zimbabwe

Netherlands have posted a five-wicket defeat against Zimbabwe in a cricket match of the ICC Men’s T20 played at the Adelaide Oval on Wednesday.

Chasing the 118-run target set by Zimbabwe, Netherlands reached it in 18 overs losing five wickets.

Max O'Dowd topped the score with 52 runs including eight fours and one six off 47 balls.

Tom Cooper and Bas de Leede made 32 and 12 runs, respectively, while the other batsmen could not reach double-digit runs.

In reply, Blessing Muzarabani and Richard Ngarava took two wickets for Zimbabwe.

Earlier, electing to bat first after winning the toss, Zimbabwe notched up 117 runs losing all wickets in 19.2 overs.

Sikandar Raza and Sean Williams took 40 and 28 runs, respectively while the other batsmen could not achieve double-digit runs.

In reply, Paul van Meekeren claimed the highest 3 wickets while Bas de Leede, Logan van Beek and Brandon Glover grabbed two wickets for Netherlands.
