The government has said that it will continue the policy of encouraging electric vehicles by reducing dependence on petroleum products.

Unveiling the policies and programs for the upcoming fiscal year, President Ram Chandra Paudel said that renewable energy will be used in the transport sector to reduce carbon emissions.

Expansion of petroleum pipelines and minimum storage programs are also being carried forward simultaneously, said Paudel.
