India won the CAVA Women's Volleyball Challenge Cup held in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, by defeating Kazakhstan.
India won the title by defeating Kazakhstan 3-0 in straight sets at the National Sports Council's Covered Hall in Tripureshwar on Sunday.
India beat Kazakhstan in all three sets 25-15, 25-22 and 25-18.
India beat Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan beat Nepal to come close to the title.
In today's match for the third place, Nepal beat Uzbekistan 3-1 to finish the third.
After losing the first set 20-25, Nepal won the next three sets consecutively and turned the game in their favor.
Nepal won 25-16 in the second set and won 25-15 in the third set.
In the fourth and final set, Nepal defeated Uzbekistan with 25-13 and finished third in the Challenge Cup.
