The government is unveiling the budget for the fiscal year 2023/24 today (Monday).
According to the constitutional provisions, the government is announcing the budget today on May 29 (Jestha 15).
Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat will present the budget in the joint meeting of both Houses of Parliament (House of Representatives and National Assembly) today.
The budget consists of four bills -- Appropriation Bill, Economic Bill, National Debt Bill, and Loan and Guarantee Bill.
Finance Minister Mahat will deliver the budget speech based on these bills.
However, the budget will be implemented from July 17.
All customs checkpoints are closed from 12 midnight on Sunday as it is the time to revise the tax rates. The border has been closed for 24 hours. According to which the checkpoint will remain closed till 12 am tonight.
