Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah (Balen) has warned of action against 342 schools for failing to provide scholarships.

KMC issued a circular on May 7 and asked educational institutions to send scholarship details by May 29.

The Metropolis has warned that if 342 educational institutions do not submit details by June 11, their licenses will be canceled.

The School Education Management Regulations, 2074 stipulates that schools should provide free scholarships to 10 percent of the total students.
