Senior comedian Madan Krishna Shrestha has undergone an eye surgery.
A cataract operation was performed on his right eye at Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology on Monday.
Shrestha's eye was operated by a team of doctors led by renowned ophthalmologist Dr Sanduk Ruit.
After the eye surgery, Madan Krishna has expressed his happiness by posting his smiling photo on social networking sites.
"I feel proud to wear the lens manufactured at Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology in my own country during cataract surgery,” Shrestha wrote on Facebook with the photo.
Intra-ocular lenses (lenses placed after cataract surgery) produced in the institute are placed in his eyes.
