Man,22, held with gold worth Rs 5.4 million at Hetauda

The District Police Office (DPO), Makwanpur has arrested a man with illegal gold worth around 5.4 million rupees from Hetauda-15, Ratomate.

Acting on a tip-off, a police squad seized illegal gold worth 5.448 million rupees at the wee hours of Wednesday.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Tek Bahadur Karki, 22-year-old Kisan Sah of Birgunj Metropolitan City-16, who was traveling in the bus with the registration number 2-03-001 B 0159, was arrested with illegal gold weighing 561.30 grams during security check.

He was bringing that amount of gold concealed inside the toe of his shoe.

According to Makwanpur police, further investigation into the case is underway after taking Sah into custody along with the gold.
