The Nepal Public Schools’ Employees Council (Nepsec), an unbrella organization of all non-teaching staffers of public schools, is staging a second phase of agitation.
The Nepsec has been intensifying the Kathmandu-centered agitation demanding better pay perks for the past few days.
Non-teaching staffers of public schools including accountants, administrators and peons are in the Nepsec.
The police arrested the protestors at Maitighar Mandala on Thursday.
The Nepsec has been staging protests across the country saying that the salary of the school staff is low and the government has not taken concrete steps to increase the salary.
Police arrested at least four people during the protest.
