Koshi Province unveils budget of Rs 36 billion 243 million (with full text)

Koshi Province has unveiled the budget amounting to Rs 36 billion 243 million 510 thousand for the next fiscal year 2023/24 on Thursday.  

Unveiling the budget, Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki, who also holds the Ministry of Economic Affairs, informed that 14 billion 396 million 266 thousand rupees has been allocated for recurrent expenditure while 18 billion 235 million and 200 thousand rupees has been put aside for capital expenditure.

Similarly, and Rs 10 million has been put aside for financial arrangement and 3 billion 602 million 992 thousand rupees has been allotted for financial transfer to local level.

It aims to collect 4 billion, 577 million 850 thousand rupees from revenue.

Similarly, 11 billion 648 million 100 thousand rupees will be collected from revenue sharing (distribution), 16 billion 117 million from donation/grant and the remaining deficit budget will be recovered from savings (3 billion and 751 million) and 150 million 460 thousand rupees will be collected from foreign grant.
